Juddmonte’s 150th European Group 1 win

Kalpana’s victory in the Gr.1 Yorkshire Oaks followed Item’s Gr.1 Juddmonte International success, and also marked Juddmonte’s 150^th Group 1 victory in Europe.

Those victories have been achieved by 82 individual Group 1 winners, 70 of whom were bred by Juddmonte and are responsible for 129 of those 150 wins (86%).

This brings Juddmonte to a total of 274 Group 1 victories worldwide, with 237 of these being achieved by Juddmonte homebreds (86.5%).

This landmark is another notable chapter in Juddmonte’s history, a story that stretches back to 1979 when Known Fact provided HH Prince Khalid bin Abdullah with a first Group 1 winner in the Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile.
